Need for Advocacy Services

According to a recent study, an average of 195,000 people in the USA die each year due to potentially preventable, in-hospital medical errors. The deaths surpass the death tolls from motor vehicle accidents, breast cancer, and AIDS.  If hospital-acquired infections are counted, medical errors are the third-leading cause of death in the USA.  The amazing part about about it is - it's preventable.

As health care professionals, we saw that every year, obtaining effective health care becomes more and more complicated.   When we retired, we decided to offer help to people when they are most vulnerable and feeling overwhelmed and intimidated by our complicated health care system.

If you or someone you care for is in this situation, we can help.  We will guide and assist you or your loved ones during these times of stress and confusion.   We will provide you individualized and personal assistance with the health care issues and decisions that you may be facing.  Currently, we are limited to providing services in central Kentucky.

Sentinel Group  provides you direct access to a team of health professionals, mostly licensed nurses,  each of whom has had many years of experience in health care.  Most have had experience both as health care providers and as government regulators.  They will use this unique perspective to ensure that you or your loved one receives the best possible health care.  You can trust your personal advocate to provide advice and support to assist you in making wise health care decisions.

Sometimes, the health care system can seem like a "health care maze" with many paths and no clear direction about which paths are best for you.  When you or your loved one is ill,  dealing with various health care providers and billing issues can become a stressful burden.  Sentinel Group believes that your best tool to avoid patient medical errors  and navigate the health care bureaucracy is to have a personal and professional advocate who has the training and experience necessary to understand complex health care issues.
